Tour Recap: Lansing MI – June 8th
Jun 15, 2009 - News
I realized that the last post titled Lansing MI wasn’t really about Lansing at all. haha! So I am going to hit up Lansing MI on this one.
Macs Bar in Lansing MI was a very cool venue. The staff was extremely nice and willing to help. When the bartender/manager saw us loading in the TVs, he asked if we wanted more for the live show. Apparently he uses some images during his band’s set as well. So he and I took a walk into the basement, and sure enough there was at least 8 more TVs. We had 4 already (3 for the crowd and 1 for Paul’s visual monitor), we only brought up another 4 TVs. But it made for 7 TVs in all towards the crowd, and quite a site on stage! Lansing MI – Tour Update
Jun 8, 2009 - News
Last night was a bit of a bummer. As I mentioned we rolled into N. Canton OH pretty early in the AM. Spent the day working on finding local music and such shops to do some extra last minute promoting. Not sure what time, but maybe 7-8pm or so we headed into Sadie Rene’s. When we walked in we were pretty excited. The stage looked really cool, there was plenty of room. Plus a nice area right in front of the stage for people. Buffalo NY, as cool as it was, was not necessarily set up for a live show such as ours. But we rocked it! So walking into Sadies, which definitely is set up for live rock, was very exciting. Then talking to the bartender/manager, we find out that ALL 3 local acts bailed on the show!! One a few weeks back, and the other two just recently. And without a draw the club didn’t really want us to play. On of my 1st thoughts was of course… what the hell?!?! Damn local bands. AND… if the 2 locals just canceled, wouldn’t the promoting they were doing have still brought people? Oh wait, what was i thinking, they didn’t promote. Silly me. So basically, if we played, with no draw, they still have to pay the sound guy, and they lost money. Which I can understand. And sadly at this point we have zero draw there. Well, turns out one of the members of one of the most recently canceling bands showed up. And he gave us this long sob story about how his guitar player just bailed and bla bla bla. And that when the other local found out the problems they quite the show. What the deal was with the 1st one, who knows. Weak all around. Oh well. Shit happens. We’ll just make sure to add those bands to our list of “KONG” bands. hahaha

So we are on the road… wow. The 3 of us still feel pretty much the same. We know we are on tour, we’re on the road. But it’s not really that crazy. It feels so natural and good
Of course, this is only day 2, hehe.
There will be more details when we get back, but just wanted to give a quick little update as to the progress thus far.

Streak needs a show in Philadelphia, PA – Can anyone help?
May 12, 2009 - News, - Shows / Tour
Well, unfortunately at the moment it looks like one of the dates for our “TV DINNER TOUR” has fallen through. Not the end of the world of course, but we want to play every night!
So…. does anyone know of, or have a show that we can help support? Even if it’s just a 20 – 30 min opening set that is perfectly fine with us. The date is Friday June 12th and we are looking for the Philadelphia PA area (or there abouts).
