Re: SNOW!

yeah... suck

Re: SNOW!

We've actually had 3 snow storms here in Southwest Texas this year, which is bizarre for this part of the world. Nothing more that a few inches, but significant for a place that is about 100 miles from the Mexican border.

Then again, we had 7 inches here when I first moved here 2 years ago, which freaked me out, but proves that anything is possible.

I moved out of New Jersey because the winter of 93/94 kicked my ass. I swear it snowed between 5 and 10 inches every Wednesday for at least 6 weeks straight. That was enough for me to hightail it to North Carolina where it stayed above 60 degrees for the next 200 days. Then we got ... you guessed it ... 10 inches of snow. Fucking shit follows me EVERYWHERE!

Re: SNOW!

Last time you traveled up to Philly it snowed, didnt it? haha  Nice weather then BAMN, it's like your big entrance.  better not snow in May... heh heh

Re: SNOW!

Yes it did. It didn't stop me from going but it stopped about 5 or 6 of my friends (including my own brother) from driving in to Philadelphia to meet up with me. My best friend Patrick lives in northern NJ and there was almost 4 inches of snow on the ground when he left his house to make the hour+ drive to Philly to come see me. My own brother was 45 minutes south of Philadelphia and it only rained where he was. Patrick made it, my brother didn't. Kind of fucked up on my brothers part, but very cool of my best friend. Thats why he is my best friend.

And it won't snow in May. Well, it shouldn't. It's been a c-c-c-o-o-o---l-l-d---d-d winter so far, so I wouldn't totally rule out a May 15th snowstorm at the rate this winter is going.

Re: SNOW!

We did a show in Boston last year and there was a snow strom.  One of the bands dropped out last minute because of the weather.  Except they were from the Boston area and I guess only had about a 15min drive.  We basically ragged on them all night.  Band name was Kong, so now when a band drops out like that we say they "Konged out".  We made it there, and Paul had to go to plow after the show.  Some people have their priorities, and some dont...

Snow or not... see you in NYC!

Re: SNOW!

ugh... that sucked.  I told my boss not to call me in, that I'd come in for 6am.  so what does he do? he calls me at 3am... I'd been asleep for all of 30 minutes.  I ended up going in, plowed a couple roads, then found a hiding spot and fell asleep over the steering wheel for like two hours, haha.  I woke up when the sun came up, and got back out there.  rock and roll.

Re: SNOW!

You must have been able to sleep like a baby after sleeping in the tour van. hehe!

Re: SNOW!

heh, actually I think it was the other way around... I think sleeping over the steering wheel of the plow truck numerous times over the years got me ready for sleeping in the tour van.  I'm not sure which is worse though.... trying to sleep in a noisy diesel truck with no heat, or trying to sleep in the smelly tour van when it's 95 degrees out and you are in the middle of a walmart parking lot.  hmmmmm.....

Re: SNOW!

Snow is dead to me.  for the next 8 months anyway.
